  15. Previously, I had become much discouraged by distributing 
  16. my work on CompuServe.  A couple of bad experiences made it difficult for me 
  17. to 
  18. continue.  However, recently I have received some recognition, and it 
  19. has made me rethink my position. 
  20.  
  21. The economy is bad in Louisiana and I am 
  22. not doing well.  You may have noticed the address change.  I cannot afford 
  23. the time on CompuServe except for uploading.  Also, my troubles are your 
  24. gain for neither can I afford to do any other kind of marketing for my work 
  25. other than ShareWare (they would cost at least twice as much or more).  And 
  26. just having me "sit on these faces" (pun intended) is not doing any good for 
  27. myself or anyone else.

  29. My first uploads to CompuServe were rather 
  30. primitive attempts.  I think 
  31. now you will find that I am capable of good - 
  32. excellent quality alter- 
  33. natives to the "higher priced spreads".

  36. assume you know what to do with this typeface. 
  37.    (use Font/DA Mover 3.2 or 
  38. higher, don't let Font/DA Mover change the 
  39.     font id, etc...) 
  40. .........if you don't know how to work these, call!!! (not collect) 
  41. .........if you can't call, write (like I said, I can't afford CIS) 
  42. There is only one size bitmap with this typeface (I'm trying to keep my long 
  43. distance and your download charges to a minimum).  And there is a good 
  44. chance 
  45. that it is not very clean (I was in a hurry...Christmas is coming). 
  46. It will however, automatically download to any PostScript Device i.e. 
  47. LaserWriter, Linotronic, or any of the new PostScript printers that are 
  48. accessed by AppleTalk.  (Versions of this typeface can be prepared for 
  49. manual downloading as a text only file for non-Macintosh computers if the 
  50. need should arise.)

  52. If you should happen to investigate any of the other 
  53. typefaces I've uploaded 
  54. you will probably discover that this is a form 
  55. letter tacked on to every one 
  56. of them.  You can skip reading the others, 
  57. however, the ShareWare fee remains.
